Steps to Writing and Publishing Success Made Easy
A free writing and publishing seminar will be given at the L. E. Smoot Memorial Library located at 9533 Kings Highway in King George, Virginia, on Sunday, October 9, 2005, at 4:00 p.m.
Many people aspire to be freelance writers, to pen inspiring poetry, or to write and publish a book. However, they do not know how or where to start. Seminar presenter, Paula Hines Lonergan, writer and author of three books, shows how to be a successful writer and publisher in the seminar “The ABCs of Writing and Publishing.” The seminar at the Smoot Library will last approximately 1.5 2 hours.
In this seminar, participants discover ways to motivate themselves to follow through on their writing projects. Barbara Martin, branch manager of the Santa Catalina Library in Pasadena, California, said about the seminar, “Your program was great… [Made everyone] feel excited and encouraged about their projects.” Attendees of the seminar learn the basics of how to pursue a writing career.
In addition, persons find out how to start and manage their own publishing company and how to market themselves and their book. After attending the class, Jan Kietzman said, “[The seminar was] extremely
informative, telling every aspect of publishing.”
The ABCs of Writing and Publishing seminar is free. A helpful booklet will be available for $5. The booklet includes instructions on how to get an ISBN and copyright for your writings and more.
